Pulling to stand is when a baby pulls themselves up to a standing position by holding on to furniture or a person. It often begins at around 8 to 10 months, and the CDC lists pulling up to stand as a milestone by 1 year.
What you can do
- Anchor bookcases and drawers to the wall.
- Lower the cot mattress once your baby can pull up.
- Show your baby how to bend their knees to sit back down.
